Airport Fees

Most Australian airports impose a fee on car rentals that commence from an airport. The fees is payable to the car rental company. The fee is generally a percentage of the total cost of the car rental and varies (typically it varies from 6% to 15% depending upon the airport).

Renters Age

Most car rental companies require you to be 25 years or older and have held an unrestricted license for a minimum of 12 months. You can still rent a car if you are aged between 21 and 25, however the car rental company may impose an age surcharge and restrict the type of vehicle you may rent.

Vehicle Insurance

Cars rented from our suppliers do have comprehensive insurance, however your liability is generally between $2500 ad $3000 if there is any damage to the vehicle. You can reduce this liability down to generally $330- $500 for an additional excess reduction payment which is generally between $20- $24 per day. Full excess conditions can be obtained from the car rental company.

One-way rentals

One-way rentals can be made however the car rental companies set the conditio0ns for these rentals. This may include limited availability of vehicles for one way rentals or limits on the one way rental locations. There may be an additional fee imposed for re-locating the vehicle back to its original pick up location and this will be advised to you in the quotation process.
